As I walk down the streets of Port Said, my lens captures a mesmerizing sight — the old buildings adorned with wooden galleries, standing tall with stories untold. This distinctive architectural style, a hallmark of a bygone era, now graces the city in its abandoned and weathered state. Time has taken its toll, and these buildings and streets, witnesses to a rich history, may soon fade into oblivion within the next decade or two, succumbing to neglect or paving the way for new development.
In this ongoing project, I embark on a personal journey to immortalize the last days of the city as I know it. Through my lens, I capture the fleeting beauty and fading essence of Port Said, preserving its memories before they slip away into the forgotten realms of history. Each photograph becomes a whispered tribute to a vanishing world.
